The GDI researchers are provided with the opportunity to actively participate in and collaborate with other institutions outside the GDI. Government agencies are the main sponsors of the GDI's projects. The following is the list of sponsored projects in which the researchers of the GDI participated. 

COVID-19 Response Systems 

and International Cooperation

: Korean Case

For a comprehensive analysis of the COVID-19 response system and quarantine policy, the research analyzed Korea's COVID-19 policy factors which are considered excellent cases. The research results were compared to the response policies of the three countries of the New Southen Policy(Thailand, Indonesia, and the Philippines) to derive policy factors to successfully respond to COVID-19.


Asian Public Leaders Fellowship


The research is contributing to an in-depth discussion of the factors of Korea's economic development and the role of domestic companies in order to meet the diverse demands of learning Korea's unique development success stories. Also, it analyzed how Korea's economic development cases can be applied for effective education and mutual learning, and presented new insights through the understanding of underlying policies and cultures.


Research on the Diplomatic Documents of the KBS-Korea Foundation

Among the diplomatic documents stored and managed by Dr. Person of the US-Korea Institute (USKI) at Johns Hopkins University (SAIS), important historical documents were selected and translated into Korean, and future US-Korea relations were reviewed. The research established a basic data system for study and understanding. As an extension/subsequence study of the research conducted in 2017, the results will be used by researchers and interested citizens in the future.
