The Global Development Institute for Public Affairs (GDI) at Seoul National University is recruiting participants for a joint internship program with the Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI).
ADBI is the official think tank of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), established in Tokyo in 1997. It conducts policy research across a wide range of areas relevant to the Asia-Pacific region, including development issues, income inequality, and digital governance. This experiential internship program has been designed to strengthen the global competencies of graduate students in public administration and provide a stepping stone toward careers in international organizations. We encourage all eligible students to apply.

Start Date June 2026 (exact start date to be determined through consultation)
Duration and Work Arrangement
Duration: June – December 2026 (6 months)
Arrangement: Remote work (part-time; working hours to be determined through consultation)
A one-time research stipend of KRW 600,000 will be provided by GDI.
Responsibilities A designated Professional Staff member will serve as Supervisor throughout the internship.
Research assistance in ADBI's Capacity Building (CB) Department
Support for the organization and operation of international events
CB Results Management tasks may be assigned concurrently
Eligibility
Current students enrolled in the SNU Graduate School of Public Administration (GSPA or GMPA)
Current students enrolled in the SNU Graduate School of International Studies,
Graduate School of Public Health, or Graduate School of Environmental Studies
Individuals with a strong interest in pursuing a career in international organizations
Individuals capable of conducting work and producing written documents in English
Note :
- International applicants must be nationals of ADB member countries
- Applicants must remain enrolled at SNU throughout the full internship period.
